THE EXERCISE IS AKIN TO THE ONE HELD IN ROHTAK LAST YEAR WHEN SHAH HAD TAKEN FEEDBACK FROM 140 ‘VISTARAKS’ ON GOVT

CHANDIGARH: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah will hold a special session with 90 party ‘vistaraks’ (full-time party workers who work to expand the party base) in Faridabad on June 16 as part of preparations for upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Haryana.

Party sources said the ‘vistaraks’ would work in all the 90 assembly segments of the state and undertake various exercises to verify and expand party base at the booth level.

The exercise is akin to the one held in Rohtak last year when Shah had held a meeting with 140 ‘vistaraks’ deputed then in the state and taken the feedback from them about the functioning of the state government.

However, this time, the ‘vistaraks’ would apprise the national leaders of the feedback of the people about the performance of party members of parliament (MPS).

They would also take people’s feedback about the functioning of central and state governments.

They would begin their exercise next month and work till the Lok Sabha polls, due in May, 2019. The state assembly polls are due in October 2019.

It may be recalled that the BJP is already in poll mode, with chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar holding road shows in several cities and rallies in villages.

Besides Shah, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) sahsarkaryavah Krishna Gopal and BJP national general secretary Arun Singh also recently held meetings with state leaders in this regard.
