Massive admn reshuffle in Punjab as 147 officers shifted

CHANDIGARH: In a massive administra­tive reshuffle, the Punjab government on Friday evening transferre­d 48 officers belonging to the Indian Administra­tive Service (IAS) and 99 from Punjab Civil Service (PCS). This included new deputy commission­ers for 10 of the 22 districts.

VK Meena will now be secretary, higher education and languages; Dipender Singh has been posted as secretary, revenue and rehabilita­tion. Vikas Garg will now be registrar of cooperativ­e societies; and Rahul Tiwari has been transferre­d as commission­er-cum-director, employment generation, besides mission director, Ghar Ghar Rozgaar (Job in Each Household) scheme.

Further, the government posted Harjeet Singh as commission­er of Faridkot division, and Varun Roojam will now be managing director of Markfed. Kavita Singh will now be director for tourism; Gagandeep Singh will be special secretary, animal husbandry. Balwinder Dhaliwal is now DC of Ferozepur.

Arun Sekhari is special secretary, coordinati­on, and Diprva Lakhra is commission­er of the Jalandhar municipal corporatio­n, as per the orders, with immediate effect.

C Sibbin has been posted as MD of Punjab Agro; Daljit Singh Mangat as special secretary, planning; Gurlovleen Sidhu as director, welfare; Praneet Bhardwaj as DC of Bathinda; Malwinder Singh Jaggi as MD of Sugarfed, and Manpreet Singh is the new DC of Fazilka,

Jaskaran Singh has been posted as director, rural developmen­t; Gurneet Tej as director, town and country planning; Kanwalpree­t Brar as MC commission­er at Ludhiana; and Tejinder Singh Dhaliwal as state transport commission­er. Amit Kumar will now be MD of National Health Mission, and Neelima, special secretary, personnel.

Shiv Dular Singh Dhillon has been posted as DC of Fatehgarh Sahib, whereas Vinay Bublani will be DC of SBS Nagar (Nawanshahr). Rambir has been posted as DC of Pathankot whereas Sanjay Popli will be special secretary, cooperatio­n.

The government has posted Vipul Ujjwal as DC of Gurdaspur, Isha as DC of Hoshiarpur, Sumeet Jarangal as DC of Rupnagar, Vimal Kumar as labour commission­er, Davinder Singh as additional registrar, cooperativ­e; Apneet Ryar as DC of Mansa, and MK Arvind Kumar will be DC of Muktsar.

Bhupinder Pal Singh is now director, public instructio­ns (DPI), colleges; and Puneet Goyal is now special secretary, health.
