JAMMU: Mohammed Hanief, father of slain soldier Aurangzeb, on Wednesday, said a decisive war with Pakistan has already started and it will be decided soon. He also asserted that terrorists in Kashmir have to be dealt with bullets.

Talking to media persons here on the eve of Kargil Vijay Diwas, he said, “coward Pakistan can’t fight India openly and remember my words, a decisive war has already started and it will be decided soon, believe me”.

Aurangzeb, who was posted with 44 Rashtriya Rifles, was on his way home to celebrate Eid when terrorists had abducted him from south Kashmir on June 14 and killed him the same day. He had boarded a private vehicle for Shopian, from where he was supposed to go to Rajouri district.

Hanief equated the terrorists in Kashmir with cannibals. “Have you ever heard of cannibals? They (terrorists) have turned so in Kashmir,” he said.

Hanif and his wife Raj Bi were visited by Nilotpal Mrinal Foundation from Mumbai, which has come here with a delegation of 30 differently abled persons to pay their tributes to Aurangzeb on the eve of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

“Entire India is with me. What else do I need? The pain and grief of losing my son will never end but I am proud of him and his supreme sacrifice. He lived by honesty, loyalty and integrity. He kept his promise,” said Hanief.

To a query, he said it was for the government to think on its own about martyrs and traitors.

When asked how Indian forces should deal with Pakistan, he said, “Pakistan can’t fight India openly because it is a coward country. And, watch my words, a final war has already started and it will be decided soon.”

The ex-serviceman from Salani village said he was happy over army’s operations against terrorists after his son’s killing. He said terrorist should better shun terrorism or else had to be dealt with bullets.

“We cannot burn entire Kashmir but terrorist has to be dealt with bullet. They won’t die of pen but of bullet,” he said.

“They now slit throats and fire bullets and their hunger is not ceasing. They need bullets, which satiate hunger and thirst forever,” he added.

Hanief said he was not in favour of holding any talks with a rogue country like Pakistan.

He was all praise for the Army Chief General Bipin Rawat, Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Nilotpal Mrinal Foundation and people of the country for reaching out to them.

Aurangzeb’s mother Raj Bi said her son was trapped and killed by the cowards.

“I am proud of my son. Had he carried his weapon, he would have surely killed at least four of them before going down fighting,” she said, adding that she had thought of his marriage this monsoon but destiny snatched him from her.
