The Rohtak police on Tuesday arrested two more juveniles accused of sodomising six kids at a gurukul here.

The five juveniles arrested earlier were produced at juvenile justice board that sent them at a correcional home in Hisar.

The arrested warden, Sachin Kumar, was produced in a court and sent to jail.

Six students of Classes 5 and 6 had alleged sodomy at the hands of their seniors at a gurukul in Ladhot village of the district.

The incident came to fore when one of the victims informed his parents who had come to meet him on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan on Sunday.

The gurukul, affiliated to the CBSE, has 200 students from Classes 5 to 10. It has been functioning from past 27 years.

Acharya Hari Dutt is the owner.

The complaints of sodomy opened a can of worms for the gurukul, as more parents narrated more problems, such as corporal punishments to the children.

“I know that the staff punished kids by giving harsh beatings. I have complained about it several times but it continued. But what we are hearing right now is extremely shocking,” said Rajesh Khatri, who took his kid home from hostel.

Around 90% of the kids have left the hostel as their worried parents came to take them back. The rest here were also waiting to be taken home.

Dutt said they have not officially declared any holiday. “Parents are taking kids home because of the media coverage. We are also unable to say anything. But no one has said they are permanently removing their wards,” he said.

Meanwhile, the school principal is still on the run.
