CHANDIGARH : Holding ‘bad governance’ responsible for tension among different communities in the state, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) president Ashok Tanwar on Sunday cautioned people to guard themselves against the elements who were trying to divide the society on the basis of religion, region and caste.

Addressing a ‘Sarvasamaj Bhaichara Bachao’ rally in Panipat, the state Congress chief said though people in Haryana had been living in peace since ages, but the BJP spoiled this peaceful cohesion and as a result, the state was burnt thrice in the last four years.

Stating that chief minister (CM) Manohar Lal Khattar had failed to give good governance to Haryana, he said all the sections of society, including labour, farmers, employees and businessmen, had been suffering due to the BJP misrule.

“Haryana BJP government is just passing its time and is not serious in providing good governance to the state.

The Khattar government is not bothered about the deteriorating law and order situation or checking sand mafia and other corrupt activities,” he alleged, pointing out that BJP and INLD are working in coordination

Tanwar said the Congress is raising the Rafale scam throughout the country by organising meetings and protests.

In all the districts of Haryana, protest demonstrations will be held from September 7 to 15 followed by a state-level protest rally on September 30 at Panipat to expose the Rafale scam.
