He is scheduled to meet Israeli President Reuven Rivlin on Monday.
Earlier, the CM was to visit Israel on Friday evening, but cancelled it at the last moment following the train accident in Amritsar .
On Sunday, the CM met his ministerial colleagues and senior officers to take stock of the situation.
An official spokesperson said while the CM had decided to postpone the visit indefinitely, he was advised to go ahead as he was supposed to sign three important memoranda of understanding in Israel on agriculture, preserving of water resources and dairy development.
The spokesman said all these proposals hold significance for Punjab, particularly in terms of agricultural diversification and saving the depleting water resources in the state, adding that, Israel recycles 90% of its water using modern technology, which Punjab can also adopt.
