BJP’S tussle with RSS is out in the open, says Sukhu
SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) chief Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Sunday mocked at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stating that a tussle that had been quietly going on between the ruling party and its parent organisation Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has now come on to the streets.
In a statement issued here, Sukhu said after the recent appointments in the boards and corporations it has become clear that the RSS was running the show and chief minister Jai Ram Thakur was only a mask.
“The chief minister has no say in the appointments and the senior BJP leaders have also been sidelined,” said Sukhu, adding that the appointments of vice-chairmen and members of various boards and corporation was being finalised at the RSS headquarters.
“A war of domination is going on between the BJP and RSS and the latter has emerged as the king,” quipped Sukhu.
He said former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and his supporters have been completely sidelined while making the appointments.
Hamirpur parliamentary segment has not been given any representation on the government.
“A volcano is about to erupt in BJP as many leaders are disgruntled on being ignored,” said Sukhu, adding that this infighting was affecting the common masses as development works have come to standstill.
He said infighting in BJP will ultimately benefit the Congress which will win all the four Lok Sabha seat in the state in 2019 general elections.
