ABHAY ALSO ACCUSED THE STATE BJP GOVT OF DELAYING SYL CANAL ISSUE DESPITE SUPREME COURT ORDER

KARNAL : Three days after Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) MLA Naina Chautala sought public support from the party workers for her son Dushyant Chautala, senior party leader Abhay Chautala cautioned party workers about the ‘dividing forces’.

“Whenever our strength increased, Congress and BJP tried to divide the party and now they are making all efforts to divide you, but you need to remain united and strengthen the party on the ground to make OP Chautala the next chief minister of Haryana,” Chatuala said, while addressing a gathering at a programme jointly organised by INLD and BSP.

Interacting with mediapersons, Abhay did not comment on Naina’s allegations that some people in the party were trying to sideline her sons Dushyant and Digvijay, saying, “I don’t want to speak anything about it and these questions should be asked to party president Ashok Arora and party chief OP Chautala.”

“I am the leader of opposition and only questions related to the government should be asked from me,” he said.

Meanwhile, the infighting in the party has confused the party workers as party’s Karnal district women wing president Prakash Kaur said, “There is confusion among the party workers as they do not know where to go, but we have to go everywhere the party leaders call us. I just want to tell you that you need to wait and watch what happens next.”

Later, Abhay accused the BJP government in the state of delaying the SYL canal issue despite the Supreme Court’s order. “The party would resume its agitation over the SYL issue from November 15 and appealed the party workers to support the party in its fight to get Haryana’s share in the SYL water,” he said.

He also condemned the state government for use of police force on the protesting government employees. “The BJP government is not taking the strike seriously but the common man is suffering for the past two weeks. The government should hold talks with the protesting officials and end the deadlock,” he said.
