₹325-CR ASSETS: JJP’S KHATANA RICHEST IN HRY FRAY

CHANDIGARH: With total assets worth ₹325 crore, Jannayak Jantaparty‘s Rohtash Khatana is the richest candidate contesting the assembly polls in Haryana. He is trying his luck from Sohna segment. Khatana’s is followed by BJP’S Capt Abhimanyu who has assets worth ₹156 crore and is fighting from Narnaund. The third richest in the fray is Balraj Kundu, an independen­t, who is contesting from Meham.

CHANDIGARH: The Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) on Friday fielded Samrat Yadav, son of former Congress’ MLA Anita Yadav, as its candidate from Ateli. Anita had joined the JJP recently.

Friday was the last day of the nomination filing for the October 21 elections, results of which will be out on October 24.

The JJP also announced four other candidates : Virender Choudhary from Nalwa, Shiv Shankar Bhardwaj from Bhiwani, Ram Singhal from Tosham and Aman Ahmed from Ferozepur Jhirka.

INLD NAMES REMAINING CANDIDATES

Meanwhile, the INLD also announced its remaining candidates. Satinder Toni has been fielded from Kalka, Sushma Chaudhary from Sadhaura (SC), Baljit Sharma (Jagadhri), Sandeep (Shahbad -SC), Shishpal (Jangdheri), Sonika Gill (Nilokheri -SC), Amit Malik (Julana), Rajpal Saini (Tohana), Suman Sivach (Fatehabad), Puneet Mayna (Rohtak), Kulbir Bamal (Hansi), Ravinder Khokha (Barwala), Anil Kathpalia (Bhiwani), Ayub Khan (Ferozepur Jhirka), Subaan Khan (Punhana), Shishpal Likhi (Hodal-sc) and Rohtash Jakhar from Ballabhgar­h.

INLD’S ally Shiromani Akali Dal has already announced to contest from three seats. The INLD has decided to support independen­t candidates in Karnal, Sirsa and Meham.
