Top ministers in the government are enacting a drama over the CID (jurisdiction) to divert public attention from real issues such as collapse of economy and farm crisis. KUMARI SELJA , Haryana Cong chief

HISAR: Referring to the jurisdiction row over the criminal investigation department (CID) between chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar and home minister Anil Vij, Haryana Congress president Kumari Selja said the two top ministers are involved in a drama to divert attention of the public from the real issues.

Selja made this remark while addressing a press conference at her residence here.

She said, “The BJP high command is behaving like a mute spectator while the two of them are involved in this drama.”

She said the economy of the country has completely collapsed as inflation is at its highest and the GDP at its lowest in the last six years. She added, “The government has no solution to these problems. They don’t even have a roadmap to deal with these issues. Industries in Haryana are suffering losses and many of them are shutting down.”

Selja said, “Farmers are completely disappointed with the BJP rule. We demand that the government provide compensation to the farmers whose crops were damaged in the recent hailstorm, instead of leaving them on the mercy of insurance companies.”

She alleged that recently there was a big scam in paddy purchase in the state. “Farmers have been cheated in the name of crop insurance.” Selja said the launching of flights from Hisar to Chandigarh was an election stunt by the ruling BJP.

“The flights stopped as soon as the elections were over. This government has neither a policy nor any vision,” she said.

She added that the Congress will continue to raise the real issues concerning the people.
