CHANDIGARH: A Tata Tiago car rammed into a pillar right outside a showroom in Sector 17 on Monday afternoon. Three men who were inside the car abandoned the vehicle and ran away, said bystanders.

According to CCTV footage obtained from a showroom, the car could be seen parked in the parking lot before the three men boarded it. It was later driven onto the sidewalk and crashed into the pillar in the market corridor. No bystander was injured, though sources said one of the occupants had to get stitches at a private clinic while other two were also hurt.

It is suspected one of the youths works at another shop in the market and lives in Daria.

No FIR was registered as police said the showroom owner gave it in writing that he does not want to file a complaint.
