A Delhi reader Priti Jammar’s six-year-old daughter Khyati painted a beautiful picture of a Toucan bird. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she aims to lead a life without any restrictio­ns. She says, “I want to enjoy the greenery of the monsoon season just like Toucan does.” We hope she and all our readers get to enjoy the beauty of the rainy season as soon as possible.

SOARING COLOURFUL SPIRITS

A beautiful balloon fly-past was organised in Bristol, UK. This year’s Bristol Internatio­nal Balloon Fiesta could not take place because of Covid19. Organisers didn’t reveal the launch location surprise so that the quotient remains intact for viewers. The hot air colourful balloons filled the sky as the joy filled people’s hearts.

THE POWER OF EMPATHY

Matty, a 15-year-old boy was diagnosed with brain tumour in 2016, and his cancer has relapsed thrice since then, which meant, no going out! But his aunt made sure that he doesn’t feel lonely, so she came up with an idea of letters from the lockdown and requested people to write letters to cheer him up. Within no time, he had 800 letters and postcards including videos from Tim Peake, British astronaut and Jamie Vardy, English footballer.

When out to buy a car, friendly salespeopl­e is what you expect and who is more friendlier than a cute dog. That is exactly what is happening in Brazil. Tucson Prime, a street dog who was often seen hanging out near this car showroom, was inducted into their family and made an honorary employee, complete with his own ID card. We surely know who the employee of the month will be!

Hats off to gritty 110-year-old Siddamma who recovered after testing positive for Covid-19 in Chitradurg­a, Karnataka. When she was asked whether she was scared after testing positive, Siddamma said, “I am not afraid of anyone.” This shows her fearlessne­ss and her belief in herself. Her courage is truly inspiring and tells us about how a positive thought process can lead to a healthy body.
