The Covid-19 pandemic is yet to bid adieu to India/ world. However, now, people as well as several sectors have started to look for ways to unlock themselves.

Bollywood, too, is doing the same as it slowly gets back to work. For instance, from next month onwards, a few films are likely to start/restart shoot, and one among them could be the Taapsee Pannuvikrant Massey starrer Haseen Dilruba.

The film, whose principal photography began in January this year, is believed to be 80% complete vis-a-vis shooting. “Yes, we have about 20% of shoot left. If all goes well, we look at getting back on sets around mid-septemeber or start of October. We are keeping an eye on the (pandemic) situation closely and will take a call accordingly. After all, we have to ensure each and every cast/crew member’s well-being,” says director Vinil Mathew. Interestingly, during the lockdown also, Mathew along with his editor wife, Shweta continued to work on the film. “That’s one advantage of having your wife as the film’s editor (laughs). During the lockdown, we have finished working on the edit (of the 80% shot material). Now, we are raring to get back on sets and finish the film,” says Mathew, who earlier helmed the

Sidharth Malhotra-parineeti Chopra starrer Hasee Toh Phasee (2014).

Incidentally, the film’s producer, Aanand L Rai has already spoken about how he plans to restart work on his next directorial, Atrangi Re in October. “Aanand sir has been a superb producer. As for work, I feel everyone has to start at some point, with, of course, all the precautions/ guidelines in place,” says Mathew, who doesn’t have the clarity yet about when his film can hit theatres. “It’s too early to think about it. Producers have to take that call. I am sure we will all do what’s best for the film,” he concludes.
