58 FRESH CASES TAKE HIMACHAL’S TALLY TO 3,874
DHARAMSHALA: Himachal’s Covid-19 tally mounted to 3,874 on Friday with 58 more people testing positive across all 12 districts of the state.
Twelve cases were reported in Chamba district, ten in Kullu, eight each in Sirmaur and Kangra, five each in Bilaspur and Hamirpur, three in Mandi, two each in Lahaul and Spiti and Una and one each in Solan, Shimla and Kinnaur.
Chamba CMO Dr Rajesh Guleri said nine of the twelve cases were reported from Mangla village near Chamba town.
Two people including a woman were found infected in Karian and one woman in Dalhousie.
Eight cases were reported in Sirmaur district.
Five of the patients are from Kamru area and three from Paonta Sahib.
3 ARMYMEN INFECTED , HAD BEEN TO MUMBAI, ARUNACHAL, C’GARH
Three army personnel were among 10 people found infected in Kullu district.
The army personnel had travelled to Mumbai, Arunachal Pradesh and Chattisgarh.
They were institutionally quarantined.
One person who had returned from Chandigarh also tested positive. He is in home quarantine.
In Lahaul-spiti district, a shepherd from Palampur was among two people found positive.
His contacts are being traced. A health worker and a sanitation worker from Shahpur area were among the eight people tested positive in Kangra.
A 28-year-old youth, who returned from West Bengal, has been found positive Khundia area.
Another patient is a 15-yearold youth from Jaisingpur area. He returned from Delhi.
At present, Himachal has 1,270 active cases and 2,551 recoveries.
Solan is the worst-hit district in the state with 914 cases followed by Kangra (564), Sirmaur (479), Hamirpur (394), Una (314), Mandi (290), Chamba (279), Shimla (217), Kullu (200), Bilaspur (160), Kinnaur (59) and Lahaul-spiti (six).
