Atul Kumar is secretary to Haryana Guv

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana government on Monday posted Atul Kumar, the 2007 batch IAS officer, as secretary to governor in place of G Anupama. PC Meena, director general and secretary, skill development and industrial training and employment department and secretary, finance department has been given additional charge of nodal officer, CPGRAM PG Portal. Shyam Lal Poonia, DC Sonipat has been given additional charge of Sonipat MC commissioner and district municipal commissioner, Sonepat during the training period of Jagdish Sharma.

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir on Monday recorded 43 fresh Covid-19 infections, lowest daily count in nine months, taking the total cases to 1,24,952 while the death toll stood at 1,944 as no deaths were reported for the third consecutive day. For the past 18 days, the UT has been consistently reporting below 100 daily cases during which the infections have not gone beyond a high of 94 on January 23. Since May last year, the UT has not recorded daily cases as low as 43 on Monday.

29 test positive in HP DHARAMSHALA:

Himachal Pradesh on Monday recorded 29 fresh coronavirus infections taking the state’s tally to 57,925. No death was reported. Recoveries have reached 56,479 as 35 more recovered. Himachal has 458 active cases now. National Health Mission director for Himachal Pradesh Nipun Jindal on Monday said the second phase of vaccination drive will start on February 10.
