‘Haryana budget to focus on education, health, self-reliance’
CHANDIGARH: “Focus of the Haryana budget for 2021-2022 financial year will be on education, health, employment and self-reliance while taking care of all sections of the society,” said Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
Khattar, who was in Gurugram, said that just like last year, this time too, the state budget will be prepared and presented after holding discussions and seeking suggestions from all stakeholders, MLAS and MPS.
“Due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, no physical meeting was held this time. All stakeholders, MLAS and MPS have been asked to send their suggestions in writing to the state government by February 20. Their suggestions will be incorporated in the budget,” Khattar said.
He said that special care will be taken in the budget proposals to ensure that problems of every section of the society are addressed and resolved.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the health budget will also be increased, he said.
The CM said that the state government is going to make a rule in which development fee for a plot will be levied only once.
If the plot owner receives a notice from the municipal corporation or municipality to pay development fee again, the owner will have to show receipt of the development fee deposited earlier.
When asked about the damage caused by rioters to government property, the CM said that the state government is considering making a rule to recover all losses caused by the agitators.
