GURUGRAM: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) declared the results of the Class 10 and 12 board assessments, with students of the former in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) recording a 100% pass percentage and Class 12 students recording 99.93% pass percentage. However, the council did not release a merit list of toppers, in view of the “exceptional circumstances” of Covid-19.

This year, the Class 10 and 12 board exams were cancelled on account of the second wave of Covid-19. The results were calculated on the basis of an alternative marking scheme. The CISCE said, “...the CISCE, has against all odds and difficult circumstances, prepared and tabulated the results for the ICSE (Class X) & ISC (Class XII)... Given the exceptional circumstances under which the results have been prepared, this year too, the CISCE will not be publishing the merit lists...” Results of total 5,463 Class 10 students and 2,811 Class 12 students were announced in Delhi-ncr .

Delhi has just one school affiliated with the board — the Frank Anthony Public School, officials of which did not respond to requests for comment.

While city-wise toppers were not declared, students in Gurugram clocked in high percentages, with several students obtaining a perfect score in multiple subjects. Debyani Kishore from Scottish High International School topped with 99.6% marks in ICSE.
