“I LOOK LIKE DAD, AND I’M INTO FITNESS”

Eshaan Sood’s daddy issues

-

What’s it like working out with your dad?

He’s become my gym buddy during the lockdown. We push each other a lot, but he’s like my trainer as he’s been working out for over 20 years.

Is he a chill dad or a strict one?

He’s not strict, but he’s a lot into discipline. He wants me to do the small things that make me independent – like make my bed, fold my sheets. He cracks jokes too.

One that annoys him?

Getting up late, as I did today because I was watching Netflix.

Favourite movie of dad’s...?

The way he looked in Simmba, and character-wise, Dabangg because he went out of his comfort zone.

One thing that you two always disagree upon...?

I like going out for dinner and he doesn’t. He’s not antisocial, he’s just not into that.

A social media tip for your dad?

He should upload more fun stuff like videos of him playing cricket, not just post body shots or him gymming.

One way in which you’ve taken after your dad?

Besides looking like him, I’m really into fitness. Oh, and we both love Punjabi food.

And one annoying habit of yours your dad has made his peace with?

When I was 14 or 15, I wanted to go for sleepovers every second day. Later, he got used to it.

A life lesson you’ve learnt from him?

He thinks big and strives for it, no matter what. For example, he started off small with a few buses to help migrants get home and his nevergive-up attitude has got him so far.

Gfs/Bfs/crushes? How privy is he to your romantic life?

When I do have a girlfriend, I will tell him. Till then, it’s mom I talk to about girls.

One typical dad thing that he has done...?

He’s quite different from regular dads in terms of fashion and pushing me to do sports. But he is all about me being punctual.

What does your boys’ time include ?

A lot of physical activity.
