Haryana jails to have de-addiction centres

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana government has decided to set up de-addiction centres on the premises of jails in the state in a phased manner. To begin with, the centres will be set up at central jail in Hisar and district jail in Rohtak, where hospitals are already available, an official release said on Thursday. “Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar has also approved the proposal to create 26 new posts of different categories for both these de-addiction centres. More than ₹78.22 lakh per year will be spent on account of these posts,” the releases added.
