Kejriwal to meditate at Dharamshala
DHARAMSHALA: Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal is headed for a 12-day meditation camp at the scenic Dharamkot village, near Mcleodganj in Dharamshala from August 1 to 12.
AAP’s national organisationbuilding team head Durgesh Pathak, who is steering the Punjab poll preparations, confirmed the trip and will be accompanying the Delhi chief minister for the Vipassana centre retreat.
Reliable sources told HT that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader will arrive at Dharamshala on August 1 and will head straight to the Vipassana Meditation Centre.
The district administration too has received a communiqué about his visit, said sources.
Meanwhile, Vipassana Meditation Centre in-charge Pawan Sharma when contacted confirmed the news.
He said Kejriwal will stay in a single room in the center premises. “It’s a 12-day silent meditation camp and participants will be briefed about their daily routine on August 1,” said Sharma, adding that the participants will have to disconnect themselves from outside world during for all ten days of the course.
He said the seekers will not be allowed to use their cell phones, talk to each other or even maintain eye contact. “
Things of daily need and meals are provided inside the campus,” Sharma said, adding that daily briefings take place through videos and other visual media. Kejriwal’s visit is being kept a secret. Sources confirmed that the district headquarters has received a communication in this regard.
