Tipraland stir fuels demand for new states

GUWAHATI: Tuesday’s violent stir for a tribal state in Tripura has fuelled the resumption of new states across India beginning with Bodoland from August 30. Bodoland is part of the National Federation of New States that includes Gorkhaland (West Bengal), Bundelkhand (Uttar Pradesh-Madhya Pradesh) and Vidarbha (Maharashtra) besides Tipraland (Tripura).
