Greece, likely to bid for Heraklion Airport

NEW DELHI: GMR Infrastructure Ltd, which operates two of India’s busiest airports in Delhi and Hyderabad, is likely to bid for the development of Heraklion International Airport in Greece. Sources said the Delhi-headquartered infrastructure major had sought and received an “experience certificate” from the aviation ministry to participate for the “international competitive bidding process” to develop Greece’s second busiest airport situated in Crete.
