FM hands over state panel report on 7th pay commission to Khattar
ABHIMANYU SAYS EMPLOYEES OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT WILL SOON GET BENEFITS OF THE RECOMMENDATIONS
CHANDIGARH: Haryana finance minister Capt Abhimanyu and chief secretary DS Dhesi on Thursday presented to chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar the report of the committee that examined the recommendations of 7th central pay commission to devise modalities for their implementation in the state.
The committee, headed by Dhesi and having additional chief secretaries Rajan Gupta and P Raghavendra Rao, principal secretary Anurag Rastogi and special secretary Ashima Brar as members, was constituted througfh notifications on August 8 and October 10.
The committee deliberated on various issues relevant to pay revision and also heard and examined more than 200 representations from various employee associations, unions, groups and individuals, an official release said.
The recommendations of the committee would now be examined by the government and appropriate orders would be issued in due course, it added.
The revised pay structure would be applicable to the state government employees with effect from January 1, 2016.
Capt Abhimanyu later told the media that the employees of the state government would soon get benefit of the recommendations of 7th pay commission.
Instead of pay bands, he said, pay-matrix, pay-cell and pay levels had been introduced in the 7th Central pay commission.
Asked if there was any proposal to form the state’s own pay commission, he said the Haryana government had been adopting the recommendations of Central pay commission which was in the interest of the state government employees.
To another question, he said that employees in Haryana were getting salaries equal to or better than Punjab, except the ministerial and police personnel.
