Shiv Sena to go solo in upcoming civic poll

MUMBAI: Amid increasingly choppy relations between allies BJP and Shiv Sena, the latter is preparing to go solo in the upcoming elections to the state’s various municipal corporations. To test the waters, the Sena plans to first contest elections to 212 municipal councils and nagar panchayats to be held between November 27 and December 8 across Maharashtra. Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray held a meeting on Thursday to discuss the poll game plan.
