SHIFTED TO HOSPITAL Booked on Thursday for promoting caste-based enmity and spreading false rumours, Jat leader Rahul Dadu, who is leading a parallel protest of the community at Sector 6 here, was shifted to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) after his health deteriorat­ed late Thursday night.

Dadu has been sitting on a hunger strike along with two other associates from January 31. The police alleged that he was spreading false rumours on social media. Khap heads of Nandal, Hooda and others on Friday night visited Rahul Dadu at PGIMS to inquire about his health. Warning the government, the Khap heads said if the demands of the community were not met within two days, more people will sit on hunger strikes at Jat dharnas.
