Delhi HC to hear Anand Chauhan’s bail plea
NEWDELHI: A Delhi court will hear Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh’s disproportionate assets case on Monday.
The court earlier on February 15 reserved its order on the bail plea of Singh’s aide and LIC agent Anand Chauhan in a money laundering case.
The Delhi court earlier in August last year dismissed Chauhan’s bail petition.
Chauhan was arrested in July last year in Chandigarh by the Enforcement Directorate under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) for not cooperating with the agency. The ED in September last year filed a chargesheet against Chauhan in a money laundering case involving the HP chief minister and others.
