GIVE MERIT A CHANCE

Articles 14 to 18 of the Constitution guarantee right to equality and the policy of reservation defies that. Reservation in educational institutes and government jobs should be solely on the basis of economic status and not on caste. Aimed at uplifting the downtrodden, the policy has become a tool to garner votes. Merit should prevail at all costs.
