COMMISSIONER, FIVE SSPs AMONG 42 COPS TRANSFERRED
CHANDIGARH: In a major reshuffle in the Punjab Police, 42 Indian Police Service (IPS) and Punjab Police Service (PPS) officers were transferred on Saturday, with even the senior-most officers getting new postings.
GD Pandey has been posted as DGP Punjab Human Rights Commission, with Mohammad Mustafa to take charge as DGP Home Guards and director, Civil Defence.
Jasminder Singh would now be DGP Railway whereas S Chattopadhyaya would now be DGP Human Resources Development.
CSR Reddy has been posted as ADGP Investigation (Lokpal); BK Bhawra is ADGP Provisioning and Modernisation; IPS Sahota as ADGP IVC and Human Rights; Prabodh Kumar is director, Bureau of Investigation; Sharad Chouhan as ADGP, Policy and Rules; Rakesh Chandra is ADGP, Special Operation Group (Headquarters, Patiala).
MS Chinna would be the new IGP, Bathinda zone.
Varinder Kumar has been posted as IG (Intelligence) in place of RK Jaiswal, who would be the IGP crime; Parveen Kumar Sinha would be Jalandhar commissioner in place of Arpit Shukla, who has been posted as IGP, Jalandhar Zone-2.
LK Yadav has been transferred as IGP, Training Arms battalion, Jalandhar; Naresh Kumar is IGP cyber crime; MF Farooqui as IGP crime Chandigarh; Amar Singh Chahal as IGP IRB; Sukhchain Singh Gill as DIG IT&T; Gursharan Singh Sandhu as DIG Crime; Jaskaran Singh as DIG Jalandhar; Rajinder Singh as DIG Ferozepur Range; Ashish Choudhary as DIG Bathinda range; SK Kalia as DIG admin (PAP); Yurinder Singh Hayer as DIG Ludhiana range; BL Meena as DIG Ropar range.
Swapan Sharma, who was senior superintendent of police, Bathinda, has now been posted as AIG, Counter Intelligence, while SBS Nagar SSP Naveen Singla would replace him.
Among PPS officers, Mandeep Singh would be the new Sangrur SSP in place of Inderbir Singh, who takes charge as Assistant Inspector General (AIG), Personnel-1.
Ranveer Singh, Manmohan Kumar and Harmohan Singh have been posted as AIG (crime) Punjab; Bhupinder Singh as assistant commandant, 2nd IRB Ladakothi; Diljinder Singh Dhillon as AIG intelligence (STF); Ashish Kapoor as superintendent, Central Jail, Amritsar; Sareen Kumar as SP crime Jalandhar. Satinder Singh would be SSP SBS Nagar; Navjot Mahal is SSP Khanna and Rajjit Singh is Jalandhar deputy commissioner of police.
