Noida initiates crackdown on builders of unfinished projects
NOIDA:The Noida authority has set a one-month deadline for homebuyers of the Amrapali Zodiac project to address all issues faced by homebuyers.
The development comes as part of the authority’s crackdown on builders who have not finished housing project leaving thousands of homebuyers in a lurch. The authority has made a schedule in which the top officials have brought all errant builders on table with an aim to address issues faced by the homebuyers of each project.
Homebuyers facing issues with his builder can file a complaint in the planning department and get the respective builder to sit across the table to reach out for a solution.
The exercise has begun with the Amrapali Group. Homebuyers, Amrapali Group and government officials met at the administrative office in Sector 6 with an aim to seek solutions in the Amrapali Zodiac project located in sector 120. On April 12, the authority will discuss issues related to the Amrapali Silicon City in Sector 76. Issues pertaining to the Shubhkamna Buildtech project in Sector 137 will be discussed on April 13 and on April 18. The authority’s top officials called a meeting after chief minister Yogi Adityanath made it clear that addressing homebuyers grievances is one of the top priorities of his government. The authority has decided that it will organise meetings with each realty firm, homebuyers and officials concerned one by one. “There are two groups of homebuyers facing issues. One section of homebuyers is that which has been living in the Amrapali Zodiac housing project and facing civic woes. Another section of buyers are those, who are yet to get the possession of their flats as the realtor failed to finish the project,” said Danish Khan, a homebuyer, who was present at Monday’s meeting.
