Tarn Taran man ‘abducts’ his own son

TARN TARAN: Amid dispute with wife, a man along with his aide allegedly abducted his 10-yearold son, Karandeep Singh, while he was returning from school on Friday. Karandeep was on his way back home at Bhaghiari village falling under Sarai Amanat Khan police station, when two bikers, with covered faces took him along forcibly. After being informed, police started search for the boy, besides registering a case. After a few hours, policemen came to know that the abductor is the victim’s father, Rachhpal Singh, of Lohia village. He took help of his aide, Manpreet Singh Manna, in committing the crime. Both were arrested and the boy was handed over to his mother, Raaj Kaur. Station house officer (SHO) Pyara Singh said the accused abducted the boy to harass his wife.
