LET’S FIGHT TERROR TOGETHER

-

The terror attack at the venue of a singing concert in Manchester (UK) is really unfortunate. It indicates where the humanity is headed to. We extend condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. Terror attacks have become an order of the day across the globe and they must be countered by all countries by joining hands. They should formulate an effective mechanism to fight all acts of terror to make the world a better and safer place.

Pawan Muggowal,

Hoshiarpur stripped and beaten up for allegedly stealing sweets. We must see whether we would mete out similar punishment to our children if they were caught doing so. This is not an isolated incident. Children of both genders engaged as domestic help are abused sexually and beaten up on one or the other pretext. The perpetrators of such acts cannot imagine the harassment and anguish of an eight-year-old shamed in full public view. This type of abuse at such a tender age gets deeply ingrained in their psyche. When they grow up, they avenge such indignities by flouting the law and norms of the civil society. Both the government and the society have the moral obligation to save them or be prepared for lawlessness in future.
