Land grab: Badal’s kin threatens to sue Sidhu

BATHINDA: Former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal’s cousin Paramjit Singh ‘Lali’ on Sunday said he will file a criminal suit against cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu for defaming him in the Vidhan Sabha. CM Capt Amarinder Singh on Thursday ordered a vigilance probe into alleged usurping of government land by Lali at Abohar. Lali said he had purchased the land through legal means from the person who owned it since 1958 and sold it to gain profit. Sidhu had acknowledged that the land was encroached upon and the issue needed to be probed into when an MLA raised it during the Question Hour.
