Four of Ghaziabad family killed in Hisar road mishap

FAMILY WAS RETURNING HOME ON SATURDAY NIGHT AFTER PAYING OBEISANCE AT A RELIGIOUS SHRINE IN RAJASTHAN

HISAR: Four members of a family have been killed when the car they were travelling in collided with a truck in Hisar district, officials of police department said on Sunday.

The incident took place when the family was returning home in Ghaziabad of Uttar Pradesh after paying obeisance at a religious place in Rajasthan on Saturday night, the police said.

The vehicle collided head-on with the truck near Patwa village near the Haryana-Rajasthan border, about 40 kilometres from here, police officials informed.

Kavita, 35, and her daughter Titu,13, died on the spot while Rajo Devi, 40, and the vehicle’s driver Rahul succumbed to their injuries at a hospital.

MAN PUSHED OUT OF MOVING TRAIN IN FARIDABAD, DIES CHANDIGARH: A man died after he and another person were allegedly pushed out by some people from a train near a railway station in Haryana’s Faridabad district, a senior GRP official said on Sunday.

Davinder,38, a resident of Palwal district, and Lalit were allegedly pushed out by some miscreants on Saturday night, DSP Government Railway Police (GRP), Mohinder Singh said.

Davinder was killed in the incident, and Lalit suffered serious injuries and has been hospitalis­ed, the deputy superinten­dent of police (DSP) said.

“It has been found in preliminar­y investigat­ions that there was a dispute between the two sides, victims and the assailants, over some matter,” he said. The duo were allegedly pushed out of a Delhi-Indore train near the Asaoti Railway Station, which is close to Palwal, when the accused, like the victims, were standing near the coach’s door, Singh said.

He said a case has been registered and two people have been taken into custody. The matter is being investigat­ed, the police official said.
