“Youth are our strength and the rally in Kangra will prove to be the biggest youth rally in the state,” he said.

BJP MP from Kangra, Shanta Kumar, said, “Shah’s rally will be historic like the one in 1990 when lakhs participated in the 14-day padyatra (march) and Congress was thrown out of power.”

WHY KANGRA

BJP has selected Kangra as the venue for Shah’s rally because of its electoral significance. The district alone sends 15 legislators to the 68-member Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha. Population wise too, it is the largest district in the state.
