Man arrested for showing porn clip to three-year-old

GURGAON: A man was arrested for allegedly showing a pornograph­ic clip to a minor girl and attempting to molest her in Jharsa village on Wednesday.

The accused, taking advantage of the fact that parents of the three-year-old girl were not at home, took her to his room in the vicinity and forced her to watch the clip, the police said.

A case under Section 12 of the Protection Of Children against Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been registered against the accused, who was arrested and sent to Bhondsi jail on Thursday. The family of the victim shifted to Gurgaon from Gujarat.

The victim’s father, who complained to the Sadar police station, said that the incident took place he was in his shop in Prempuri, whereas the girl’s mother had gone to the market.

He alleged that in their absence, the accused took her to a room, forced her to watch a porn clip on a mobile phone and also molested her.

The victim told her mother about the incident when she returned home from the market.a police officer said that a case has been registered against the accused and he has been sent to jail.

In another incident, a man has been booked for allegedly raping a woman, an acquaintan­ce.

The victim told the police that the accused allegedly took her to a hotel in the city and raped her. The man is a resident of Rewari district.

An officer of the Civil Lines police station said they are verifying the incident and action would be initiated soon.

“A case has been registered on the basis of the complaint. We are looking into all the aspects of the case,” said Karambir Khatana, station house officer (SHO), Civil Lines police station.

The victim, in her complaint, said that she had met the accused, who is speech and hearing impaired, at his workplace, a government office in Civil Lines.

The accused has three children. The duo had met in a school where their children studied and it was during these meetings there that they got acquainted, the police said.
