Sonepat pvt school alleges conspiracy by its rival institutes

ROHTAK: A private school in Sonepat’s Gohana town has refuted allegations by a girl student in an anonymous letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the local police that she was gangraped by two school employees.

Denied the occurrence of any such incident, the management of Om Public School called it a conspiracy of their rivals to defame them. “Over the past five years, our school has grown enormously in this area. It is possible that someone has tried to fulfil their personal motives by conspiring against us at a time when there is a movement going on in Haryana against private schools,” said Nirmal Lathar, the director of the school.

She said she got in touch with all the teachers and principal of the school, who have given an undertaking that no such incident was reported to them.

The victim, in her anonymous letter sent to the police, had alleged that school employee Karambir and clerk Sukhbir sexually assaulted her on several occasions and gangraped her in a hotel. She claimed that she had informed her class teacher, who promised to take up the matter with principal, but the principal showed a callous attitude.

“Most probably, this is false. I have read the letter and no student writes this way. The two accused are my trusted employees, associated with us for many years. The principal, too, can never show such a callous attitude on this serious complaint,” Lathar said.

Meanwhile, the letter has sent the local police in a tizzy. Gohana SHO Kuldeep Singh said they have not got any clue of the victim so far. He said the accused are being questioned, but no evidence of their involvement in any such incident has been established so far.
