GREEN DIWALI

-

The Supreme Court ban on the sale of crackers in Delhi-ncr, and the Punjab and Haryana high court’s restrictions on bursting of crackers to 3 hours in Punjab, Haryana and UT, are praiseworthy rulings in the best interest of health of citizens. The courts deserve credit for taking up suo motu cognizance of the deteriorating level of pollution after Diwali. If we are sincerely concerned about health and efficiency of our younger generation, we should abide by the guidelines of the honourable courts with all seriousness and observe a green Diwali.
