GURGAON: Expressing helplessness outside the Sushant Lok Police Station on Tuesday, Jayant Singh, the father Adya Singh, a seven-year-old, who died of dengue in September after being treated at a private hospital in the city, demanded justice in case of her daughter’s death alleging that his statement was not included in the FIR by the police. Singh came to the police station to submit his statement, a day after the Special investigation team (SIT) was formed by the Gurgaon police to investigate the case.

Singh said he had already mentioned 18 names and also the management of Fortis hospital in his complaint, however, his complaint has not been included in the FIR yet.

The SIT had called him on Tuesday to record statement in the matter. “The police already had my complaint, they could have included mine with the health department complaint, which they didn’t. Why they haven’t yet filed FIR against the hospital management is a big question,” said Singh. He alleged that the hospital made a number of “unacceptable mistakes” in the case.

tered into the matter. But did not share the report. Gupta, though, praised the government for swift action but demanded that it be asked to submit the probe report in court. The Gurgaon police have registered a case of culpable homicide against a doctor on a complaint from the state health department on December 10.
