Another porn star says was invited to hotel room
WASHINGTON: A porn star has said she was invited by fellow adult movie actor Stephanie Clifford and then reality TV personality Donald Trump to join them in the latter’s hotel room after they got together at a celebrity golf tournament in 2006.
Alana Evans made this claim in an account to The Daily Beast. The same site reported that a third actor, who accused Trump of sexual misconduct before the 2016 election, is now subject to a non-disclosure agreement.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Clifford, whose stage name is Stormy Daniels, was paid $130,000 by Micheal Cohen, a long-time lawyer of the Trump Organization, just a month before the 2016 presidential election. The timing of the payment has led many to believe she was given hush money.
The supposed encounter took place a year after Trump married Melania, his third wife, and shortly after she gave birth to their son Barron.
In statements sent to multiple publications, Cohen denied the sexual encounter. “These rumours have circulated time and again since 2011. President Trump once again vehemently denies any such occurrence as has Ms. Daniels,” he said.
Clifford, in a statement released by Cohen, has denied having “a sexual and/or romantic affair” with Trump or receiving any hush money from him, but other news publications confirmed Daniels had shared her story about Trump in 2016.
The White House said in a separate statement: “These are old, recycled reports, which were published and strongly denied prior to the election.”
Jacob Weisberg, editor-inchief of the Slate Group, told the New York Times Clifford told him about her relationship with Trump in several interviews in 2016. He also provided to the Times text messages exchanged with Clifford and a draft settlement agreement.
On Saturday, the Daily Beast reported that it had also been in talks with Clifford about an interview on the eve of the 2016 vote.
It said it had also spoken to Evans. According to Evans, Daniels, at the time of her alleged encounter with Trump, said: “All I’m going to say is: I ended up with Donald in his hotel room. Picture him chasing me around his hotel room in his tighty-whities.”
