Now, woman ‘gangraped’ in Fatehabad, 2 booked

HISAR:TWO men were booked for allegedly gangraping a woman in Bhuthan Kalan village of Fatehabad district on Wednesday night.

The victim (20) in her police complaint alleged that all her family members were not home as they had gone to other village to mourn a relative’s death.

The complainan­t said the accused, identified as Anil Kumar and Satpal of the same village, sneaked into her house and committed the crime.

She said they threatened her with dire consequenc­es if she revealed the incident to anyone and fled from the spot.

Later, she narrated the incident to her family members who took her to the women police station and lodged a complaint.

The 20-year-old victim and her family approached the women police station and filed a complaint.

With this, seven cases of gangrape have been reported so far in the state recently.

Women police station SHO Bimla Devi said, “We have registered a case under Sections 376-D (gangrape), 450 (house trespass)

and 506 (criminal intimidati­on) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the accused.”

Deputy superinten­dent of police (DSP headquarte­rs) said, “After conducting medical examinatio­n, the police registered the case and formed three teams to nab the accused. We have got important leads and they will be arrested soon.”

The case comes a day after a three-year-old girl was raped by a 14-year-old boy in Hisar.
