PASSIVE EUTHANASIA: ELATION OF DOCS PAINFUL

The honourable Supreme Court has given an important judgment allowing Passive Euthanasia and the concept of a Living Will. This is a very sensitive issue. However, it is painful to hear statements of doctors expressing elation over the judgment. Is there somewhere a wish among these doctors of getting rid of patients, rather than the sickness? I hope they will understand my point and realise their folly. Another critical question is whether the judgment will be implemente­d in the spirit it has been delivered. Will not truant and ungrateful children make their parents sign a Will and then make them suffer? Who will ensure implementa­tion?
