Get ready for 2019 polls, Khattar tells party workers

KARNAL :Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday asked party workers to get ready for the assembly polls and start working on the ground.

Khattar, who addressed a meeting of booth-level party workers in Karnal, called upon them to work on the ground to ensure party’s victory in the elections.

“I have asked party workers to get ready for the ‘Maidan-ejung’ (battle ground) and help the BJP retain power in assembly elections due in 2019”, he said while talking to mediaperso­ns here.

“We are fully prepared for the polls,” he said while replying to a question.

The chief minister

also attacked leaders of opposition parties for spreading misinforma­tion about the BJP government in the state.

“Opposition leaders don’t have any issues. They are trying to mislead the people,” he said.

During the meeting, the CM also asked party workers to spread awareness among people about the developmen­t works being carried out by the BJP government in the state.

The chief minister said the transparen­cy in government appointmen­ts was one of the biggest achievemen­ts of the BJP government.

He said that the implementa­tion of recommenda­tions of Swaminatha­n Commission was the biggest demand of farmers and the BJP government­s at the Centre and in the state have already implemente­d most of these recommenda­tions.
