THAKUR DALIP SINGH EXTENDED HIS SUPPORT TO BHAGWAT DURING AN EVENT IN SIRSA

SIRSA: The head of the Sirsa-based breakaway faction of the Namdhari sect, Thakur Dalip Singh, on Wednesday extended his support to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in building Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

“Namdhari Sangat is ready to help RSS build Ram Temple in Ayodhya,” said Dalip Singh, while presenting a Tulsi sapling to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, who was the chief guest at the ‘Hindu-sikh Ekta’ programme organised by Vishwa Namdhari Sangat to celebrate Ram Navami, in Sirsa.

He added: “We had earlier planned to hold this function on March 25, but due to non-availability of Bhagwat, we decided to postpone it to April 4. We are observing this day to promote a sense of brotherhood between the Hindu and Sikh communities.”

Dalip Singh said some people from these communities had been trying to create divisions in the name of ‘Dharma-karma’, but no teacher has ever imparted such lessons.

While Thakur Uday Singh is the head of the Namdhari sect that has its headquarters in Bhaini Sahib near Ludhiana, his brother Thakur Dalip Singh controls the faction headquartered in Sirsa.

‘WE MUST WORK TOGETHER TO RESTORE BROTHERHOOD’

“India is the only country where everyone comes to find peace and harmony,” said RSS chief Bhagwat, stressing that everyone must work together to restore brotherhood.

Bhagwat, in his 45-minute speech, avoided any political message and quoted excerpts from the Ramayana. He said in order to achieve true happiness, people must read mythological books.
