THE ROAD SHOWS WILL BE FOLLOWED BY RALLIES IN LARGE VILLAGES OF HARYANA, WITH OVER 10,000 POPULATION

CHANDIGARH: Haryana chief minister (CM) Manohar Lal Khattar would be on a road show spree in days to come.

After conducting road shows in Ambala and Jagadhari in the last one month, his road shows are now planned in Faridabad on April 28 and Rohtak on May 3.

Later, a road show is also planned in Bhiwani, though a date for the same is yet to be finalised.

The spree is being seen as preparatory ground work of the BJP gearing up for the 2019 elections.

While the Lok Sabha elections are scheduled for May 2019, the state assembly polls are likely in October 2019.

Khattar, in his road shows, meets people, takes their feedback about the functioning of the state government and also listens to their grievances.

According to information, the road shows will also be followed by rallies in large villages, with over 10,000 population, of the state from June onwards as he would be away to Israel for a few days next month and return on May 10.

At the public rallies he would launch new schemes and inaugurate new projects.

Khattar, who has already held meetings in all 90 assembly segments and held two-day visits in all 22 districts of the state, has also held meetings of officeholders and senior workers of all districts here.

The Khattar-led BJP government has been under severe criticism from opposing Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and the Congress, most recently for the alleged irregularities detected in the recruitments by Haryana Staff Selection Commission and its inability to get the SC order on SYL canal implemented.
