Parrikar cannot sign files fearing secondary infection: RTI reply

PANAJI: Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar, currently undergoing treatment for an ailment in a US hospital, can’t sign government files due to risk of infection, an RTI petitioner said, citing official documents. City businessma­n Kenneth Silveira, who obtained the memo signed by Parrikar through the RTI Act, has filed a complaint with Goa police’s Crime Branch claiming signing of government correspond­ence and notings by secretarie­s to CMO instead of Parrikar was illegal.
