Was not overcome by emotion after 2011 win: Kohli

- HT Correspondent

MUMBAI : The win in the 2011 ODI World Cup was the most memorable moment for generations of Indian cricketers and fans. However, for current Indian captain Virat Kohli, it was not that emotional a moment. Kohli, who is currently captaining RCB in IPL, said in a TV programme that, “I didn’t feel as emotional as other guys because it was my first World Cup. I saw the emotions in the eyes of the guys that hadn’t won it for five World Cups. Sachin hadn’t done it. Bhajji (Harbhajan), Yuvi (Yuvraj), everyone was emotional. MS was emotional...

“I didn’t have any of those emotions. I pushed myself to like cry because everyone was crying,” Kohli said while talking to the hosts of the programme.
