Exarmyman held for raping 30yearold

MOGA Police have arrested an ex-serviceman for allegedly raping 30-year-old woman. The accused, Veer Singh, is a resident of Khosa Kotla village in Moga district. Police said the victim’s friend introduced her to the accused who promised her a government job. On May 3, the accused allegedly raped the victim in an empty plot along the Mehmawala road in Moga when they were returning from Ludhiana. The victim’s medical examination was conducted at the Moga civil hospital. Investigating officer Amrik Singh said the accused was produced in a court and has been sent to judicial custody.
