Swamy’s views on Bhindranwale personal: Shwait

-

AMRITSAR : A week after the BJP senior leader and MP in the Rajya Sabha Subramanian Swamy praised slain militant leader Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, Rajya Sabha member (MP) and Punjab BJP president Shwait Malik on Sunday said the party disagreed with his views and the views are his personal.

Swamy, while addressing a seminar organised by the Vishav Samvad Samiti, an organisation affiliated to the RSS here, said Bhindranwale was his friend and he does not consider him a terrorist. He had also claimed that Bhindranwale never demanded ‘Khalistan’, a sovereign Sikh state.

Notably, Malik also attended that seminar. While addressing a press conference at the Amritsar Club here, Malik separated himself from the remark of Swamy, when he was asked to comment on this.
