KS PANNU NEW AGRICULTUR­E SECY, CHANDRA GETS HEALTH

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab government on Saturday transferre­d eight Indian Administra­tive Service (IAS) officers in the state.

Satish Chandra, additional chief secretary, power, has been given additional charge of health and family welfare as well as medical education department­s.

He has been relieved of the forest and wildlife department which has now been given to additional chief secretary-cumfinanci­al commission­er, taxation, MP Singh, who has been relieved of the charge of technical education and industrial training.

Kahan Singh Pannu, who is secretary of Punjab State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, has been made secretary, agricultur­e.

The charge was held by VK Garg who has been posted as secretary horticultu­re.

Pannu retains the charge of chairman, Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB).

Sanjay Kumar, principal secretary, labour and medical education, has been handed over charge of the sports and youth services department in addition to labour.

Secretary, expenditur­e, DK Tiwari, has been given charge of the technical education and industrial training department.

He has been relieved of the charge of the Punjab Infrastruc­ture Developmen­t Board (PIDB), which has been handed over to Hussan Lal, in addition to secretary, public works department (B&R).

AS Miglani, secretary, personnel, has been made mission director, directorat­e of groundwate­r management.
