Major administra­tive reshuffle in Himachal

SHIMLA: Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur on Saturday ordered a major administra­tive reshuffle in the state as 18 IAS officers were transferre­d. Thakur replaced his additional chief-cum-principal secretary Manisha Nanda with additional chief secretary finance Shrikant Baldi.

Baldi will also hold the charge of informatio­n and public relation. Additional chief secretary (CS) BK Aggarwal, awaiting posting on his return from central deputation, will hold the charge of home and vigilance department. Manisha Nanda who held tourism, informatio­n department­s, besides being principal secretary to CM will now hold the charge of PWD and will also be a resident commission­er in Delhi.

Anil Khachi, principal secretary, PWD, will hold the charge of the finance department. Additional CS Ram Subhag Singh has been given additional charge of tourism and revenue, besides being financial commission­er revenue. Akshay Sood, secretary, general administra­tion department, will function under overall control of additional CS finance. Additional CS power and forest Tarun Kapoor has been posted as chairman of state electricit­y board. Principal secretary (PS), Sanjay Gupta, who holds the charge of technical education will also hold the charge of RPG. RD Dhimal, PS, industries and personnel will hold charge of horticultu­re department. PS (home) Prabodh Saxena will hold charge of PS (personnel). Jagdish Sharma, PS, excise and taxation, will hold the charge of IT.

Principal secretary Onkar Sharma has been given additional charge of agricultur­e department, besides food and civil supplies. Managing director, HPMC, Dinesh Malhotra has been given additional charge of commission­er inquiries. Sunil Kumar Chawdhary has been posted as Shimla commission­er and will also hold additional charge of managing director financial corporatio­n.
